Elemi, Canarium luzonicum, is an aromatic resin with a fresh, balsamic and slightly citrus character. Its essential oil is obtained from the resin by steam distillation and forms part of the E.O.B.B.D. selection from Esential’Arôms, in which the exact botanical species, producing organ and biochemical specificity are identified. In this case, its profile is defined by limonene, phellandrenes, elemol and elemicin, components responsible for its resinous, fresh and distinctive aroma. Due to its natural concentration, it must be used with caution and always diluted before cosmetic application.

Cosmetic use: dilute 1 drop of essential oil per 2 ml of carrier oil in a bottle. Shake well to ensure the blend is homogenised. Then apply by performing a body massage. External use.
