1 drop of essential oil 1-3 times a day mixed with a teaspoon of olive oil, honey, cane sugar or on a specific neutral pill (1 ml of basil essential oil contains 25 drops).
HOW TO USE ESSENTIAL OILS
· All essential oils are not recommended for pregnant women, during breastfeeding, and for children under 6 years old, in some cases for children under 12 years old, and in others, they are reserved for adults.
· The general usage is as follows: 1 drop of essential oil 1 to 3 times a day, mixed with a teaspoon of olive oil. Follow the usage instructions indicated on the box strictly.
· This oil can be used as a cooking ingredient adjusting the quantities, as flavors might be too intense.
· Cosmetic essential oils are not for internal use.
· It is not advisable to take essential oils internally in a continuous way.
· In general, food essential oils can also be used for cosmetic purposes.
TOPICAL USE
· Stomach pain, indigestion, gastric spasms, gas: mix 2–3 drops of basil essential oil with 2–3 drops of a virgin vegetable oil in the palm of your hand and apply to the stomach area. Repeat the application after a while if needed. In case of gas, also apply to the lower abdomen.
· Menstrual cramps, menstrual pain, pelvic pain: mix 2–3 drops of basil essential oil with 2–3 drops of vegetable oil in the palm of your hand and apply over the ovary area.
ORAL USE
· Bad breath (halitosis): add 1 drop of basil essential oil to 1 teaspoon of olive oil and ingest.
· Gas, flatulence: add 15 drops of basil essential oil to 30 ml of olive oil and take 1 ml after main meals when necessary.
INHALATION USE
· Insomnia caused by stress or mental overload with inability to disconnect or recurring thoughts: add 10 drops of basil essential oil to an inhaler stick and deeply inhale 3 times through each nostril before going to sleep. You can also add 8–10 drops of basil oil to a diffuser or humidifier along with other relaxing oils (lavender, lavandin, sweet orange, bitter orange, ylang-ylang).
DILUTION
Pure in some cases (local use only) / normal / concentrated / mild / very mild.
PRECAUTIONS
· May be irritating to sensitive skin: preferably use diluted in a carrier oil.
· Do not use undiluted in diffusion; always combine with other oils.
· Pregnancy: do not use.
· Breastfeeding: do not use.
· Not for use in children under 12 years of age.
