BENEFICIOS

The essential oils of ESENTIAL’ARÔMS are high-quality products, 100% pure and natural due to their selection, manufacturing and control processes.
You have just bought an E.O.B.B.D. essential oil, meaning an Essential Oil Botanically and Biochemically Defined. This product is a 100% pure and natural essential oil obtained by steam-dragging distillation (without using chemicals for extraction) and is subject to strict quality controls. There are no added colors and they are not deterpenated, rectified nor re-distilled.

SELECTION OF ESSENTIAL OILS (E.O.B.B.D.)
The essential oils offered by Esential’Arôms are classified as Essential Oils Botanically and Biochemically Defined (E.O.B.B.D.). This means that each oil has been selected according to the following parameters:
1. Plant species: all plants used are botanically classified, so we can undoubtedly inform about any plant species using the International Code of Botanical Nomenclature.
2. Producing organ (p. o.): not all parts of the plant have the same composition, so it is necessary to choose the organ (root, seed, leaves, etc.) that, once distilled, will have the characteristic substances.
3. Biochemical specificity (b. s.) or CHEMOTYPE: once the essential oil is distilled, it is necessary to verify its chemical composition, that will characterize its use. To check the correct biotype, it is performed an analytical control by gas chromatography coupled with mass spectrophotometry.
4. Biotype: depending on the habitat where the species grows (terrain, altitude, etc.), the essential oil composition can vary, so verifying chemotypes is essential.
1 drop of essential oil 1-3 times a day mixed with a teaspoon of olive oil, honey, cane sugar or on a specific neutral pill (1 ml of cinnamon bark essential oil contains 21 drops).
PHENOLATED FOOD ESSENTIAL OILS
· Essential oils which are rich in phenols (thyme b. s.: thymol; thyme b. s.: carvacrol; clove b. s.: eugenol; pepper b. s.: eugenol; oregano b. s.: carvacrol) and in some aldehydes (cinnamaldehyde: cinnamon bark b. s. cinnamaldehyde) should be used with extreme caution. Never apply the oils directly to the skin and never allow the oils to be released in the air, as they can be irritating to mucous membranes if inhaled. Orally always use the essential oil diluted in a carrier oil.
· For essential oils containing phenols, prepare a mixture of 30 ml of extra virgin olive oil with 8-10 drops of the essential oil that contains phenols in a 30 ml amber glass dropper and shake vigorously. Take half a pipette (approx. 0.5 ml) 1-3 times a day. Follow the treatment for a maximum of 10 days alternating it with periods of rest of the same duration.
TOPICAL USE
Not preferred
ORAL USE
· States of tiredness, asthenia, physical fatigue: add 7 drops of cinnamon bark oil to 30 ml of virgin olive oil and take 1 ml of the mixture 2-3 times a day. Take breaks: take for 1 week and rest for 1 week. Take when necessary. CAUTION: for ages 12 and up.
· Infectious diarrhoea, intestinal fermentation: add 7 drops of cinnamon bark oil to 30 ml of virgin olive oil and take 1 ml of the mixture 2-3 times a day during the infection. Then, stop treatment and take 1-week breaks.
INHALATION
Add 2-3 drops of cinnamon bark oil along with other oils suitable for diffusion to an essential oil diffuser or humidifier and diffuse.
DILUTION
Weak/very weak
PRECAUTIONS
· Never use undiluted by any route of administration, as it is a dermocaustic essential oil, highly irritating to the skin and mucous membranes due to its high content of cinnamic aldehyde (75-80%).
· For topical use, always dilute in a vegetable carrier oil to a low concentration.
· Do not use undiluted in diffusion; combine with other oils. Only 2-5 drops may be added to a mixture of other essential oils suitable for atmospheric diffusion. Diffusion, even when diluted, should be kept away from babies and young children.
· Pregnancy: do not use due to its irritating nature and its ability to reduce uterine contractions.
· Breastfeeding: do not use.
· Do not use on children under 12 years of age.
· Not suitable for use on highly stressed individuals, as cinnamic aldehyde causes an increase in blood adrenaline levels.
· Toxicological data_ LD50: oral: 5.00 / dermal: 3.25.
