1 drop of essential oil 1-3 times a day mixed with a teaspoon of olive oil, honey, cane sugar or on a specific neutral pill (1 ml of cinnamon bark essential oil contains 21 drops).
PHENOLATED FOOD ESSENTIAL OILS
· Essential oils which are rich in phenols (thyme b. s.: thymol; thyme b. s.: carvacrol; clove b. s.: eugenol; pepper b. s.: eugenol; oregano b. s.: carvacrol) and in some aldehydes (cinnamaldehyde: cinnamon bark b. s. cinnamaldehyde) should be used with extreme caution. Never apply the oils directly to the skin and never allow the oils to be released in the air, as they can be irritating to mucous membranes if inhaled. Orally always use the essential oil diluted in a carrier oil.
· For essential oils containing phenols, prepare a mixture of 30 ml of extra virgin olive oil with 8-10 drops of the essential oil that contains phenols in a 30 ml amber glass dropper and shake vigorously. Take half a pipette (approx. 0.5 ml) 1-3 times a day. Follow the treatment for a maximum of 10 days alternating it with periods of rest of the same duration.

DILUTION
Weak/very weak
PRECAUTIONS
· Never use undiluted by any route of administration, as it is a dermocaustic essential oil, highly irritating to the skin and mucous membranes due to its high content of cinnamic aldehyde (75-80%).
· For topical use, always dilute in a vegetable carrier oil to a low concentration.
· Do not use undiluted in diffusion; combine with other oils. Only 2-5 drops may be added to a mixture of other essential oils suitable for atmospheric diffusion. Diffusion, even when diluted, should be kept away from babies and young children.
· Pregnancy: do not use due to its irritating nature and its ability to reduce uterine contractions.
· Breastfeeding: do not use.
· Do not use on children under 12 years of age.
· Not suitable for use on highly stressed individuals, as cinnamic aldehyde causes an increase in blood adrenaline levels.
